Ms. Acevedo-Vargas, Counsel, is a graduate from the University of Puerto Rico School of Law, J.D. and has a Bachelor in Arts from the same institution. She has been admitted to practice before the Supreme Court of Puerto Rico and is a member of the Puerto Rico Bar Association.
Ms. Acevedo is a member of the firm’s corporate practice group concentrating on health related issues, including the administrative handling of permits and licensing of health facilities, as in the design of health services delivery models. In addition, she represents clients in administrative proceedings.
Given her background in the area of advertising, she participates in the review of advertising materials and contracts, as well as in administrative proceedings before the Consumer Affairs Department (“DACO”), related to violations to all DACO regulations that govern the marketing and sales of goods by retailers. Ms. Acevedo is a participant of seminars in which health and marketing issues are discussed.
